A Meaningful Honour
At Asian Artistry, heritage has always been at the heart of what we do. That is why it is such a meaningul honour for us to be featured in the jewellery section of Singapore's Peranakan Museum!
To see Asian Artistry recognised in a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating Peranakan culture is something we are deeply grateful for. It is a proud reminder of how far our family journey has come, and of the legacy that continues to shape our craft today.
A Legacy That Began in 1933
Our family tradition began in 1933, when the first jewellery shop was opened in Sungei Road/Syed Alwi Road. Since then, the business has been carried across three generations, rooted in craftsmanship, cultural appreciation, and a deep respect for tradition.
Rooted in Peranakan Heritage
Being part of the Peranakan Museum is especially meaningful because Peranakan artistry has long been important influence in our work. It reflects the beauty of tradition, the richness of detail, and the value of preserving stories through design. For us, jewellery is never only about adornment. It is also about identity, history, and the artistry passed from one generation to the next.
A Recognition for Our Family Legacy
This feature is not only a recognition of our business, but also of the family legacy behind it. It honours the years of meticulous craftsmanship, the trust of our community, and the traditions that continue to inspire every piece we create.
We are thankful to the Peranakan Museum for allowing Asian Artistry to be part of this cultural space, and for helping keep the appreciation of Peranakan heritage alive. Moments like this encourage us to continue preserving our roots while sharing the beauty of our craft with future generations.
Carrying Asian Artistry Forward
As we look ahead, we remain proud of our beginnings, grateful for our journey, and committed to carrying the Asian Artistry legacy forward!
